We all have different interests, budgets, and energy levels. But I’ll share what a friend and I did in some of the ports you’ll be visiting. We were on Celebrity, but it’s likely NCL will offer similar excursions. The epic vibrates more during maneuvers because unlike a lot of ships built in the last 5-8 years it doesn't use azipods. It has two main propellers in the rear plus side thrusters fore/aft on each side. The simple maneuver of turning is more complex than just pointing the azipod the right direction.I’d go for deck 12. You have cabins above and below you so it’s quieter. Also, the balconies on deck 8 are quite deep but 1) they are not only right over the lifeboats, 2) all the people on the decks above you can look down on your balcony from THEIR balcony so what’s the point.
