It's a narrow part of the valley. Urubamba is in a wider spot so you don't have the mountains rising right on the edge of the town quite to the same extent. And Ollantaytambo has the ruins right in town which enhance the view. Urubamba doesn't have that.I would suggest the following for a 7-day tour: Day 1: Arrival in Lima. I went to Sapan Inka Retreat (5 day - 2 ayahuasca ceremonies and 1 San Pedro ceremony) back in 2017. It was an amazing experience (first time). They limit the number of participants to 6 max so you get a lot of focus and attention from the shamans (a lovely couple).NIt is not clear from your post how much time you will have in Cusco and the Sacred Valley in total excluding your retreat time and what else you plan on doing.
