Calamity summoner is so much more fleshed out than the other classes, especially as calamity is still on 1.3.whatever, which doesn't provide nearly as much vanilla content as 1.4 (obviously). What I would do is actually just a mix of both, summoner + mage isn't too hard to do especially with the forbidden armor being a mage-summoner set.
