A head boat is recommending these reels for some of their trips: Shimano Trinidad / Torium 20 or 30. Shimano Talica 2 16. Daiwa Saltist 40. lordhell. Ocea Jigger (OJ) 4000/5000/4000P/5000P have longer handle shaft and T-bar power handle grip as compared the their Trinidad counterparts. i have 2 mxj's. although you can put 300 yards of 65 lb. braid it only has 9-12 lbs of drag. and even with that little of drag the handle gets hard to crank at the upper range. should work for smaller fish. there are people catching larger fish with these reels but will take some finessing.. WIll last a 4 day deep drop trip without recharging. Recharges pretty quick if need be. You will want a 14-20ah rectangle type battery for your backpack.
